StyleSmart.com Business to business (b2b) marketplace: Allows buyers and sellers (designers) in the apparel business to shop, inquire, plan, and purchase apparel directly from the designer, at wholesale prices. All web pages used/shown are done from templates which can be edited as easily as an HTML document, so it is easy to make page design/format changes with no reprogramming, despite the fact that all HTML pages used/shown are dynamically generated in real-time. Handles new account applications, and has an administrator's back office interface, to allow them to approve new members, inspect real-time member usage stats, edit any member's info, inspect any intermember communications and/or transactions, blast individually customized emails out to members, and more. Has very different user interfaces for different classes of members, e.g., Admins, Designers, or Buyers. All data is stored in a mySQL database.

Multi-vendor product search engine: This software is online at many (hundreds of) different web sites; some are:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, at http://bbbsa.greatergood.com/; This software receives a text argument from the user identifying the product they're looking for, and queries many (about 50) ecommerce web sites simultaneously in real-time. It reports back to the user, usually in about 20 seconds, of the most appropriate products, no matter which ecommerce site each is from. Additionally, the software reformats each product link to use an affiliate-based link, so that the ecommerce web site knows which site (like the sites listed above) produced the customer so that it can receive monetary credit, sometimes 5% to 25% of the money spent by the customer. This software is used to increase sales at Greatergood.com's customer's shopping portals. This software is written in Perl, and uses the LWP libraries.

The Hunting Trail (like webring software): This is a membership based system that offers its services to other Hunting-related web sites. Hunting web site owners sign up to be on the Hunting Trail. The software responds with an HTML fragment for the hunting site owner to put on their own web site, making them part of the circle of sites with the hunting topic. The software adds new members to a Majordomo mailing list, tracks hits generated from and to each site, and has bulk email capabilities to send the membership (no spam) with their individual statistics, HTML fragment, and provides a standard add, delete, or modify (any member), through a passworded Back Office interface, using a normal browser.
This is about two thousand dollars worth of custom programming.

An Online Quiz at tufstuff.com: This perform a two question 'Quiz'; getting both answers correct lands you on a page that allows you to purchase product at a one-third discount. The interesting thing about this custom cgi program we provided, is that our client can modify the information/pages of the quiz by merely making adjustments in their ShopSite Back Office; no HTML editor, FTP program, or Perl programming changes required.
This is a very simple, small program, that cost our client $250.00.

Digital Postcard / Electronic Greeting Card Software: Allows visitors to send postcards to others, containing standard pictures, and custom text. Email notification is sent to recipient, to allow them to come retrieve the message with their browser. Allows for the building of an opt-in mailing list that is Majordomo compatible.
